No, it's not required. While knowing some Chinese will enrich your experience, all our handicraft and intangible cultural heritage (ICH) workshops are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
If you know some Chinese: It's a great opportunity for immersive practice. You'll connect more naturally with the tutor and gain deeper cultural insights.
If you don't speak Chinese: Don't worry. The process is highly visual and hands-on. Masters teach primarily through demonstration, and we use simple, clear instructions. For extra confidence, consider adding a pre-travel Chinese crash course to your booking.
